Jenifer Canter

Jenifer Canter grew up in Mariposa. Actually, to be more precise, she grew up in our very own Bootjack, down the dirt road Pegleg, playing in the rocky West Fork of the Chowchilla River. In many ways it was an idyllic childhood, and those fond memories are what brought her back to raise her own family in these beautiful foothills.

Jenifer became active in the real estate industry in 2004. She began her career in lending and finance. As a loan officer in the Sacramento area, Jenifer became the "go to gal" for securing financing for first-time home buyers utilizing programs like FHA, VA, CalVet and CalHFA. She recently resigned from her position as Advanced Certified Property Tax Appraiser with Mariposa County to pursue a rewarding career as a real estate advisor, assisting old neighbors, and new alike, find their dream home in our beautiful county.

Jenifer's past employment has allowed her to play an active role in nearly every aspect of the real estate transaction. From qualifying a buyer based on their personal financial circumstances, to securing the loan that will best suit them for years to come, to signing the deed and deed of trust at title and then finally on to recording the documents at the county office.
